Recently, when Twitter customer @lbertootero told the Study vocalist she should hire a transgender female for her next Fenty Beauty campaign, the musician wrote back with an extremely eloquent response.

While the 29 -year-old has “had the pleasure of working with many gifted trans females over the years, ” she doesn’t “go around doing trans castings” to avoid tokenism.
