Sir Roger Moore, the actor best knows we portraying James Bond in seven films, has died in Switzerland, his children confirmed in the following statement. He was 89.
Moores children used to say Moore passed away after a short but brave battle with cancer and was surrounded with love in his final days. In the statement, his childrenDeborah, Geoffrey, and Christianhighlighted Moores accomplishments not only as relevant actors, but his work with charity.

Moore was born in London in 1927 and served in the Royal Army Service Corps shortly after World War II terminated. Moores career spanned decades, where he worked as an additional and dabbled in modeling. He co-starred in a number of films before discovering success in television with indicates like Ivanhoe , The Alaskans , Maverick , The Saint , and The Persuaders! .
He became the fourthactor to play James Bond after Sean Connery, David Niven, and George Lazenby occupied the role, beginning with the Live and Let Die in 1973.
