Louis Vuitton’s pouches typically make a stir when new intends are released, but its latest collect is not going down in quite the same way.
Makers, the luxury maker’s new collect in collaboration with American artist Jeff Koons, features iconic works by Old Masters Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, and Titian, among others.
But while the way mansion might’ve thought it was a work of art, people online had other ideas and they did not hold back.
Of course, LV has some die-hard fans.
Prices for the Masters collection start at $585 to around $4,000, and is set to launch on April 28.
According to Koons, who is known for working with pop culture topics, the pouches are a “celebration of humanity.”
“I was hopeful that when someone strolls down the street with this that what they’re doing is, they are really celebrating humanity, ” he tells in an Instagram video.
“I believe that these pouches are art.”
